Function Fitness
For Coaches & Trainers

A studio built for serious personal trainers & physical therapists.

Function Fitness DTLA is home to a small collective of experienced coaches delivering high-level personal training in a private, professional environment. We occasionally invite independent trainers and physical therapists whose values align with our approach to coaching, client experience, and long-term development.

Why work out of Function Fitness

A better room for your practice.

Whether you are growing your client base, transitioning from a commercial gym, or looking for a more professional space to deliver your sessions, our studio offers an opportunity to operate independently while being part of a supportive fitness community.

You keep your clients, your programming, and your pricing. We provide the room, the equipment, and a professional standard your clients will notice the moment they walk in.

What we offer

Built for practitioners who take their work seriously.

01 — Environment

Premium private training floor

A quiet, fully-equipped studio designed for serious 1:1 and semi-private work — no waiting for racks, no crowded floor, no commercial-gym distractions.

02 — Format

One-on-one & semi-private focused

The floor is built for relationship coaching, not bootcamp throughput. Plenty of platform space, dedicated assessment area, and an InBody 570 you can program around.

03 — Atmosphere

Professional, client-first atmosphere

The studio holds a standard your serious clients will notice the moment they walk in — quiet, considered, and free of the noise that drives high-end clients away from commercial gyms.

04 — Mentorship

Mentorship & business-growth support

Optional ongoing input from senior coaches on programming, assessment, pricing, and the practical side of running an independent training practice in a major city.

Ideal fit

Best suited for experienced trainers who value relationships and results.

We work best with coaches who treat training as a craft and a long-term practice — not a side hustle, not a class franchise. If you take pride in repeat clients and in the quality of your hour with them, the room will feel like home.

  • Five or more years of paid, in-person coaching experience
  • An existing or growing book of private clients
  • A serious commitment to client outcomes, not class throughput
  • Comfort with assessment-led, individualized programming
  • Professional conduct — the standard the studio is built around
